Wolves dent Arsenal’s title chase with last-gasp equaliser

Wolverhampton Wanderers bagged a late equaliser in the 94th minute to earn a two-all draw against league leaders Arsenal at the Molineux, reducing the Gunners” lead on the table to five points momentarily.

Debutant Tom Edogie had a memorable night as the 19-year-old inspired the late equaliser in the 94th minute of added time to secure a 2-2 draw.

Arsenal came into the tie looking for their third win in seven after playing a one-all draw against Brentford on Saturday.

The Gunners took an early lead as Bukayo Saka got to the end of Declan Rice’s cross as he planted a header into the middle of the net.

DPiero Hincapie doubled the lead for the visitors 11 minutes intro the second half as he beat the offside trap with Gabriel Malgahaes before powering a shot into the roof of the net.

Wolverhampton reduced the deficit a few minutes later as Hugo Bueno bent a curler into the far post after a brilliant interchange of play with Santiago Bueno.

Meanwhile, the result leaves Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in a delicate position as their title charge suffers another stumbling block.

Arsebal are still on top of the Premier League with 58 points having played a game more than immediate challenges Manchester City who are currently five points behind.
