Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle will release his final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe this week according to multiple sources.
Eric Chelle released a list of 39-man provisional squad for the crucial qualifiers last week, which includes more than a handful of regular players and some new ones.
Some of the newly-invited players include Getafe midfielder, Chrisantus Uche, Sevilla striker, Akor Adams, Slavia Prague’s Igoh Ogbu, Remo Stars’ goalkeeper Kayode Bankole among others.
However, Eric Chelle’s final list will be out this week, sources say as he prepares the team for the important fixtures against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Reports also say the Super Eagles camp will open in Kigali on March 16th ahead of the match against Rwanda five days later.
The Super Eagles will take on Zimbabwe on March 25th at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Eric Chelle is saddled with the responsibility of qualifying the Super Eagles for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a poor start to the series.
The three-time African champions have three points from their opening four matches and occupy the fifth spot in Group C behind group leaders Rwanda, South Africa, Benin Republic and Lesotho.
