Zenith Bank reward DTigress with cash gift after Afrobasket triumph

It is the season of rewards for the senior women’s basketball team of Nigeria, the D’tigress, after winning a record fifth consecutive Women’s Afrobasket title.

The DTigress beat Mali in a keenly contested final in Abidjan to win their seventh title in the history of the tournament.

After receiving national honors, apartments, and $100,000 each from the Federal Government as rewards for their achievements, the DTigress have received another cash reward.

Zenith Bank of Nigeria announced a N200,000,000 cash gift to the team, with each player set to receive N10,000,000 while the rest is to be shared among the technical team.

The cash reward was announced on Tuesday morning when the team visited the headquarters of the bank to present the new Women’s Afrobasket trophy.

Zenith Bank is the title sponsor of the women’s basketball league in Nigeria.
