Alex Iwobi was a standout performer as Fulham produced an impressive display as they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at the Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.
The Cottagers took the lead in the first half through Emile Smith Rowe after a brilliant one-two with Raul Jimenez before striking it low past Palace keeper, Dean Henderson.
Smith Rowe thought he had scored again in the second half after tucking in a low cross from Alex Iwobi before VAR came to Palace’s rescue and ruled the goal out for offside.
Fulham doubled their lead in the 83rd minute through Monday’s super sub, Harry Wilson courtesy of a superb Iwobi pass.
The win lifts Fulham to sixth on the table for the time being while Palace’s woes were compounded as the defeat leaves them just one point above the relegation zone.
