Awoof Sports Watch Party: Relive the glitz, banter and excitement of the maiden edition

What’s better than watching a derby football match than adding great music, delicious food, exciting prizes, and the electrifying energy of passionate football fans?

It is not just a match but an unforgettable experience where football, entertainment, and football come together for a delightful experience.

Awoof Sports Media achieved these and much more at the maiden edition of the Awoof Sports watch party on 15 December where it hosted football fans to watch the Manchester Derby on December 15.

The event took place at the magnificent Westend Sports Bar, Yaba and it witnessed a very impressive turnout as fans of Manchester United and the pseudo fans of Manchester City turn up to support their teams.

The event started at 5.30 p.m. as the ushers welcomed the fans and presented them with food vouchers worth N7,000 and their entry tickets.

Fans were also asked to predict who they think would win the match and most predicted a straight win for the home side Manchester City.

While the match was ongoing, the organizers introduced the fans to a new sports gaming platform Sportsbet.io – the sponsors of the event.

A number of fans registered for on the platform with a deposit of at least N5,000 and they were also thought how to play a called Royal Relay.

Westend Sports Bar rocked with fans excitement, music and banter in the background as Manchester City took the lead courtesy of Joskol Gvardiol’s header in the first half.

At halftime, the ushers further introduced fans to the Sportsbet.io and thought fans how to play the Royal Relay game.

The ushers also announced cash prizes for the first ten people to sign up and make a deposit on the platform.

They also announced that cash prizes would give given out for fans that answer football questions correctly at the end of the match.

The upper pavilion of the Westend Sports Bar erupted in joy after Manchester United equalized via Bruno Fernandes spot kick.

A middle-aged man with a white Manchester United jersey and the entire bar went wild when Amad Diallo scored the winner late in the game.

Fans were treated to a handful of premium entertainment: football, food, drinks, and music under one roof at the first edition of the Awoof Sports watch party.

Also, fans also left Awoof Sports watch party with not just the memories but cash gifts as well as souvenirs.

Mr Aniette, a senior executive of Awoof Media assured football fans that the watch party will be a constant event across different parts of Lagos.

The first edition of Awoof Sports watch party was indeed a great success.
