Bournemouth extended their unbeaten Premier League run to 10 games with a stunning 4-1 win over Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
Justin Kluivert scored a superb hat-trick, including a stunning stoppage-time strike, while Milos Kerkez added a late third.
Newcastle’s Bruno Guimarães had equalized in the first half, but Bournemouth’s defence dominated the likes of Alexander Isak, who was aiming to score in a 9th straight league game, and Anthony Gordon while stepping things up in the second period.
The Magpies probed as hard as they could but the Cherries were much too aggressive and played on the front foot throughout.
The win moves Andoni Iraola’s side up to sixth, just a point behind Newcastle.
With six points separating third and eighth, this victory could be crucial in Bournemouth’s European charge.
