In an action-packed day of football, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) witnessed three thrilling encounters across various venues today.

At the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, the home side, Enugu Rangers, edged out Remo Stars with a 2-1 victory. Rangers took the lead in the 25th minute through a well-placed header by Isaac Saviour.

Kingsley Maduforo doubled the lead for the hosts just after halftime with Remo Stars scoring a consolation goal through Sikiru Alimi in the 89th minute.

In Owerri, Heartland hosted Shooting Stars at the Dan Anyiam Stadium. The breakthrough arrived in the 31st minute through Chukwuma Agor. Shooting equalized late into the match with Adam Mustapha converting a penalty in the 80th minute. Bassey John dashed the hopes of the visitors returning home with a point as he converted a penalty just eight minutes later to secure all three points for Heartland.

Bendel Insurance welcomed Niger Tornadoes to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

The hosts dominated the encounter, opening the scoring in the 5th minute with a strike from Julius Emiloju. Uche Collins made it 2-0 in the 50th minute before Kayode Solomon rounded up a miserable evening for the visitors with the third goal in the 76th minute.
