Manchester City 2-2 Brighton
Manchester City’s title aspirations took a hit as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Brighton at the Etihad Stadium.
Erling Haaland made Premier League history by reaching 100 goal involvements in fewer than 100 games, converting a 10th-minute penalty to give City the lead. Brighton responded with a goal from Pervis Estupiñán in the 21st minute.
Omar Marmoush restored City’s advantage in the 39th minute, but an own goal by Abdukodir Khusanov in the 48th minute leveled the match.
Despite City’s efforts, they couldn’t secure the win, leaving them six points adrift in the race for Champions League qualification.
Southampton 1-2 Wolves
Wolves boosted their survival hopes with a vital 2-1 win over Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Wolves capitalized on their first meaningful opportunity in the 19th minute when Strand Larsen headed home, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.
Shortly after the break, in the 47th minute, Strand Larsen doubled Wolves’ advantage with a well-placed shot, further dampening the home side’s spirits.
Southampton managed to pull one back in the 75th minute through substitute Paul Onuachu, but despite increased pressure, they couldn’t find an equalizer.
The victory lifts Wolves out of the relegation zone, while Southampton’s woes continue, remaining anchored at the bottom of the table after suffering their ninth consecutive home defeat.
Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford
In the late kickoff, Brentford came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth took an early lead in the 17th minute when Milos Kerkez’s cross was inadvertently deflected into the net by Brentford’s Vitaly Janelt.
Despite this setback, Brentford remained composed and found an equalizer in the 30th minute. Bryan Mbeumo delivered a precise corner, allowing Yoane Wissa to rise above the defense and head home, leveling the score at 1-1.
The decisive moment came in the 67th minute. A long throw-in from Kevin Schade caused confusion in the Bournemouth defense, and Christian Nørgaard capitalized by slotting the ball into the net, giving Brentford a 2-1 lead.
