As the Super Eagles prepare for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Zimbabwe on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, head coach Eric Chelle and captain William Troost-Ekong have emphasized the team’s focus and readiness.

During the pre-match press conference, Coach Chelle highlighted the importance of concentration and preparation.

He confirmed that all players are fit and available for selection, stating, “We had a good training session yesterday, and we need to finalize our preparation this evening. It won’t be easy; Zimbabwe is a good team, and we need to focus on our game.”

Captain William Troost-Ekong echoed the coach’s sentiments, emphasizing the team’s commitment to securing a victory.

He remarked, “The win over Rwanda is in the past. We are now 100% focused on the game against Zimbabwe tomorrow. Against a motivated Zimbabwean side, we just want to rise to the occasion and win.”
