Arsenal clinched their second pre-season victory with a thrilling 3-2 win over Newcastle in Singapore.
The match was thrilling from start to finish. It featured the emergence of Arsenal’s 15-year-old prodigy Max Dowman, who stole the spotlight after the Gunners unveiled their £55m signing, Viktor Gyokeres, before kickoff.

Newcastle struck first when Anthony Elanga’s scuffed shot deflected off the post past David Raya.
Arsenal responded swiftly, flipping the game with two goals in quick succession before halftime. Mikel Merino finished off a sharp move, followed by an own goal from Alex Murphy, both sparked by Kai Havertz’s incisive runs and crosses.
Despite Arsenal’s control, Newcastle leveled the score through Jacob Murphy’s stunning long-range strike. Enter Dowman, introduced on the hour mark. Following an electric senior debut against AC Milan last week, the teenager dazzled with two penetrating runs and fierce shots before drawing a penalty with a mazy dribble, fouled by Joelinton, 13 years his senior.
Martin Odegaard calmly converted the late penalty to seal the victory.
