Santos star Neymar Jr. has publicly responded after being left out of Brazil’s national team squad for their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers, breaking his silence on the matter.
Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti opted not to include the 33-year-old forward in the roster for the matches scheduled for next month, citing a “minor problem” that Neymar needed to address before returning to competitive action.

In response, Neymar took to social media to share a message of resilience and determination. Posting a photo of himself training in a gym on his Instagram story, he wrote:
“Success comes from desire, determination, and persistence in achieving a goal. Even if you don’t reach your target, those who seek and overcome obstacles will, at the very least, do admirable things.”
The post suggests Neymar is focused on regaining his form and proving his worth, despite the setback of being excluded from the national team.
Brazil, already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, will face Chile on September 5 before traveling to Bolivia on September 10 for their next qualifiers.
Neymar’s omission from the squad has sparked discussions about his current fitness and role in the national team, with Ancelotti’s comments indicating a cautious approach to the forward’s recovery.
As Neymar continues his training, all eyes will be on whether he can overcome this hurdle and return to the Seleção in top form.
