Andre Onana is unlikely to leave Manchester United this summer, despite reported interest from West Ham.
The 29-year-old Cameroonian shot-stopper, who joined United from Inter Milan in a £47 million deal last summer, has faced scrutiny this season amid some inconsistent performances and the Red Devils’ search for additional goalkeeping depth.
However, Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano emphasized that Onana remains a key part of manager Rúben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford, with no intention of letting him depart before the summer transfer window closes in a few days.
The rumors gained traction following reports of Manchester United’s advanced negotiations to sign 24-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.
Lammens, a highly rated prospect who has been capped by Belgium’s U21 side, has reportedly agreed personal terms with United, and talks over a transfer fee are progressing, with Antwerp seeking around €25 million while United are pushing for a deal closer to €20 million plus add-ons.
Lammens was notably left out of Antwerp’s starting lineup in recent matches as negotiations heat up, and United aim to finalize the move ahead of interest from clubs in France and Italy.
