Ademola Lookman has returned to first-team training, signalling a definitive end to his summer transfer saga.
The Nigerian winger, who was at the centre of a bitter dispute with the club, rejoined his teammates today after a meeting with coach Ivan Jurić to “clarify his situation.”
The highly publicised fallout began when Lookman pushed for a move to Serie A rivals Inter Milan, which led to him being left out of the team. This had a significant impact on the club’s early-season form, culminating in a heavy 4-0 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

The resolution comes after weeks of tension where both coach Jurić and CEO Luca Percassi made it clear they would not beg Lookman to play. Instead, they insisted on a change of attitude and a commitment from the player.
Now, with the matter resolved, Lookman has reportedly spoken to his teammates and is motivated to help the team. His return brings a much-needed boost to Atalanta’s attack, and he is expected to be available for the upcoming Serie A match against Torino.
