Victor Osimhen continued his blistering start to the season, scoring a penalty in Galatasaray’s 3-2 win over Göztepe on Saturday. The Super Eagles striker also set up Gabriel Sara for another goal, taking his tally to five in three Süper Lig appearances after braces in his opening two matches.
Ademola Lookman opened his account for Atlético Madrid, scoring in the 26th minute of their 3-1 win over Sevilla. It was his first goal since joining the Spanish side, following goalless outings against Malaga and Villarreal.
Kelechi Iheanacho kept up his remarkable scoring streak in Turkey’s second division, netting and providing an assist as Bursaspor came from behind to beat Kayserispor 2-1. The former Leicester striker has now scored in every match he’s featured in this season.
Samuel Chukwueze didn’t score but the winger had another outstanding performance and seems to be enjoying life under new manager Ruben Amorim. The former Villareal man provided another assist as AC Milan beat Venezia at the San Siro on Saturday night.

Rafiu Durosinmi was also among the goals for Genk, continuing his hot start in Belgium after his club-record move from Pisa. His consistent returns in front of goal have him chasing Tolu Arokodare’s Golden Boot mark from last season.
Umar Sadiq was on target for Valencia too, pulling one back in a 3-1 defeat away to Deportivo La Coruña. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the difference at the other end, scoring for the home side as Valencia slipped to defeat despite the Nigerian’s effort.
Tolu Arokodare continued his own bright start on loan at Ajax, scoring in a 4-0 away win over Telstar in the Eredivisie on Sunday. Steven Berghuis set up the Nigerian for Ajax’s third goal, taking Arokodare’s tally to four goals in five appearances across all competitions since his summer move from Wolves.
Together, the seven forwards’ performances add further weight to the growing conversation around Nigeria’s attacking options ahead of the Super Eagles’ AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign in September.
