Kelechi Iheanacho is without a doubt the most in-form Nigerian forward in Europe this season, and the former Leicester City player is showing no sign of relenting.
Iheanacho extended his blistering goalscoring form for Bursaspor in the Turkish 1st division as he scored in his 10th consecutive match for Bursaspor.
The Super Eagles forward scored twice to help Bursaspor to a comfortable 3-0 win away at Muglaspor on Thursday night as they got back to winning after the loss against Mardin 1969.
Iheanacho had earlier scored in the 48th minute to give Bursaspor the lead but was ruled offside. However, his effort counted 10 minutes later from a composed finish to give his side the lead.
Iheanacho doubled the lead in the 79th minute from a brilliant individual effort to reach 14 goals in 10 matches as he extended his goals record for the club.
Kelechi Iheanacho set a new club record for most consecutive goals for the club in the four days in the loss to Mardin 1969 after equaling Fernandao’s record of eight goals in a row previously.
Iheanacho’s run now stands at 10 consecutive matches, two clear of the eight-game mark Fernandao set for Bursaspor in 2014/15,
