AFRICAN PLAYERS SCORECARD: SALAH, MANE AND AWONIYI CAN’T STOP SCORING

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE : LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL

Sadio Mane scored Liverpool’s first goal of the game in the 4:0 demolition of Arsenal. Mane also assisted his fellow African Mohamed Salah to score his side’s third. Mane has now scored 7 goals while Salah has 11 so far this season. There’s no stopping these two as their partnership is getting much better.

WATFORD VS MANCHESTER UNITED

The last game of Ole’s era, Senegalese international Ismaila Sarr scored Watford’s first goal in their shocking 4:1 win over United. Sarr missed a penalty before scoring his 5th goal of the season. Also in the same game Nigerian Emmanuel Dennis scored the last goal of the game which made it his 4th goal of the season.

BURNLEY VS CRYSTAL PALACE

In a game that had six goals, Ivorian international Maxwell Cornet scored his side’s third goal and the equaliser in a six goal thriller. The former Lyon player is in red hot form and has now scored his 5th in his debut season for Burnley. He made history for his side after his goal made him the first Burnley player to scored 5 goals in 6 Premier League starts.

BUNDESLIGA : UNION BERLIN VS HERTHA BERLIN

Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi scored in the 8 minute to put his side ahead in a 2:0 win. That makes it his 8 goal of the season in 12 league games. His among the top scorers in the league this season behind the likes of Lewandowski and Erling Haaland who are ahead of him.

SERIA A : BOLOGNA VS VENEZIA

Relatively unknown Nigerian David Okereke is making a name for himself after he scored the only goal that helped Venezia earn all three important points away to Bologna. That lone goal made it his 4th in this campaign for struggling Venezia.

GENOA VS ROMA

Ghanian teenage sensation Afena Gyan came from the bench to score a brace Ina game which gave Mourinho’s men the victory. Few months ago the teenager was still playing for Roma’s B team, but Mourinho gave the Arena the promotion which he is taking with both hands. Both goals are his first two goals for his side and it is obvious that Mourinho will give the lad more playing time.
