CHAMPIONS LEAGUE : LIVERPOOL

It was an all African affair for Liverpool as Mohamed Salah scored twice and Naby Keita once to give Liverpool the three points in a keenly contested game against Athletico Madrid that had five goals in all. Salah continues his goal scoring form by scoring his 5th in the Champions League this season after his 104 goals tally over the weekend in the league.

MANCHESTER CITY :

For Manchester City against Club Brugge, Rihad Mayrez scored twice, one was a spot kick and the second a well placed goal from close range in a game where City whitewashed the Belgian side by 5 goals to 1.

AJAX

Over to Amsterdam, Sèbastien Haller made it 6 goals in three games for Ajax as they defeated Dortmund 4 nil. He previously scored 4 goals in his first game in the Champions League against Sporting CP, were he has equaled the likes of Messi, Van Basten,Inzaghi just to mention a few who has also scored 4 goals in a Champions League game.

EPL : LIVERPOOL

Mo Salah and Sadio Mane were on the scorer’s sheet for Liverpool’s route over Watford over the weekend to score their 104 and 100 goals respectively in the EPL.

LEICESTER CITY :

Daka scored Leicester city’s fourth goal in their win against Manchester United while his Nigerian colleague Iheanacho had an assist in the same match were they defeated Ole’s men 4:2.

Seria A : NAPOLI

Victor Osimhen continued his blistering form and made it 8 wins in 8 games for his side by scoring his 5th goal of the season in Seria A and his 8 in all competitions. He headed home the lone goal that gave his side the needed 3 points against Torino to remain top of the table.

SALERNITANA

Nigeria’s Simy Nwankwo scored his first goal of the season for his new club Salernitana where he’s on loan from Crotone. The goal was assisted by his fellow Nigerian and forgotten Super Eagles player Joel Obi in a match which they lost against Spezia 2:1 after Simy’s goal put them ahead.

Germany : UNION BERLIN

Nigeria’s Taiwo Awoniyi scored his sixth goal of the season in eight outings for Union Berlin to give a comfortable home win against Wolfsburg.

Russia : CSKA MOSCOW

Cska Moscow and the Super Eagles new sensation scored his second goal of the season for his club side. His goal was the only goal of the match that gave his team victory over Ural.
