Rasheedat Ajibade earned the Woman of the Match award after Nigeria’s hard-fought 1-0 victory against Botswana at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday night.

Justine Madugu’s players secured the win with a late goal from substitute Chiwendu Ihezuo, who was set up by a precise cross from fellow substitute Esther Okoronkwo.
Ajibade, who began the match on the right flank of Nigeria’s attack, shifted to midfield in the second half. The 25-year-old delivered an impressive performance, playing the full 90 minutes.
The Super Falcons are set to take on Algeria in their next match at Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday.
