Arsenal have reached full agreement with Club Brugge for winger Christos Tzolis, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist confirmed the deal with his trademark “here we go,” signaling the transfer is done and only formalities remain.
The two clubs have agreed on a fee of €40 million for the 24-year-old. Club Brugge have already authorized Tzolis to undergo his medical ahead of completing the move.
Tzolis emerges as Arsenal’s direct response to Leandro Trossard’s departure. The Belgian is closing in on a switch to Besiktas, opening a spot for Arteta’s new left-wing addition.
The winger reportedly turned down other suitors while waiting for the Gunners to finalize their approach.
Tzolis has racked up 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 appearances across two seasons at Club Brugge. His standout campaign came last season, when he scored 22 goals and set up 29 more in all competitions.
Newcastle United had pushed hard for his signature earlier in the window. Their interest ultimately made no difference once Tzolis set his sights on Arsenal.
This transfer marks Arsenal’s third major signing of the summer. The Gunners have already added defender Piero Hincapié and midfielder Illan Meslier to Arteta’s squad.
Romano also revealed Arsenal remain active on other fronts, working behind the scenes on a possible deal for Morgan Rogers. The Gunners continue to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
