Jarrod Bowen scored the only goal of the game as West Ham defeated Arsenal 1-0 to dent their title hopes.
The Gunners lacked energy in the first half, with Riccardo Calafiori’s shot on target being their only notable chance. West Ham, on the other hand, created several opportunities, and Jarrod Bowen’s diving header just before halftime proved to be the winner.
Arsenal pushed for an equalizer in the second half, but their efforts were hindered when substitute Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent off for a reckless foul.
Despite being a man down, the hosts continued to press, but ultimately fell short.
The loss leaves Arsenal eight points behind Liverpool, and if Liverpool win at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow, the gap will extend to 11 points, likely ending their title hopes.
