With Manchester City set to take on the FA Cup final this weekend, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa side took full advantage of the distraction, securing a crucial win at Villa Park.
Goals from Ezri Konsa and Boubacar Kamara helped them leapfrog City into the top five.

Konsa opened the scoring just before the hour mark with a clinical first-time finish, netting his first league goal of the season.
Kamara’s strike then sealed the win, securing the hosts’ ninth victory in 11 league matches and condemning Tottenham to their 21st top-flight defeat of the season.
The win propels Villa to fourth place, although they will drop to fifth if Chelsea beats Manchester United at Stamford Bridge later in the week.
Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side remain in 17th, struggling to find form ahead of a crucial Europa League final next week.
