Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi will miss the club’s upcoming Premier League clash against Liverpool due to a fresh injury setback.
The Nigeria international’s injury comes just as he was recently reintegrated into the squad by Head Coach Sean Dyche. Awoniyi had caught the eye with an impressive performance in Forest’s 3-1 victory over Leeds United before the recent international break.
Dyche confirmed the news to the media ahead of the team’s trip to Anfield on Saturday. The coach stated, “Taiwo was terrific when he came on.
“Unfortunately, we’ve lost him with a bit of an injury, so we will see how that settles down.”
The forward has made four league appearances for the Tricky Trees this season, and his absence is a blow to the team as they face one of the league’s top sides.
