Fans were treated to a night of nostalgia and football artistry at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Friday as the Barça Legends defeated the Africa Legends 3–1 in an entertaining charity match.
The exhibition, organised under the auspices of the Zahra Buhari-Indimi Foundation, brought together some of the most iconic names to ever grace the game, blending European flair with African brilliance.
Managed by Albert Ferrer, the Barça Legends lined up with familiar faces such as Gaizka Mendieta, Ludovic Giuly, Javier Saviola, and Nigerian-born Haruna Babangida.
Former Cameroon international Alex Song and Andreu Fontàs also featured for the Catalan side. On the opposing bench, Samson Siasia led an Africa Legends team brimming with star power — including Jay-Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Emmanuel Adebayor, and El Hadji Diouf.

Barça took control early, dominating possession and rhythm. Roberto Trashorras opened the scoring with a composed finish after a fine team move, before Saviola doubled the lead shortly after the half-hour mark.
The African Legends pulled one back through Diouf, who pounced on a defensive lapse to the delight of the home crowd. However, any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Ludovic Giuly added a third for the visitors midway through the second half.
While the result favoured the visitors, the true winner was the spirit of the game. Zahra Buhari-Indimi, who officiated as a special guest referee, added a lighthearted touch to proceedings as fans cheered both sides with equal enthusiasm.
