The Premier League has released the list of nominees for October’s Player of the Month Award after three rounds of matches for the month.
Eight players from eight teams are set to compete for the prize, with the likes of Manchester United’s Bryan Mbuemo, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, and Brentford’s Igor Thiago among five others in contention.
Mbuemo scored three goals and provided an assist as Manchester United ended the month with three wins in three matches.
The Cameroonian scored against Liverpool and bagged a brace against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford.
Erling Haaland also scored three goals as Manchester City beat Brentford and Everton before the 1-0 loss to Aston Villa.
Brazilian striker, Igor Thiago, has also enjoyed a decent outing in October with two goals against Westham and Liverpool.
Other nominees for the award include Sunderland’s Nordi Mukiele, Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber, Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimarães, Aston Villa’s Matty Cash, and Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi.
