Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi were left heartbroken after Fulham fell to a last minute loss to Brighton at the Amex.

The Super Eagles duo played crucial parts in the match as Fulham took the lead via Raul Jimenez’s close range strike.

Alex Iwobi raced down the right flank and put a fantastic cross into the box for the Mexican striker who calmly finished off the chance to give Fulham the lead on the 35th minute.

However Fulham’s lead last for less than seven mimutes after Dutch defender Jan Paul van Hecke met Yasin Ayari’s cross from a free-kick with a sublime header.

Both sides created very little chances in the second half and Kaoru Mitoma’s goal was ruled for offside.

Alex Iwobi came off late in the match for Ryan Sessegnon after another impressive performance for the Cottagers.

Unfortunately, Harrison Reed pulled down a Brighton player in Fulham’s box late in added time to give the Seagulls a 98 minute penalty.

Brazilian forward, Joao Pedro steeped up and converted to give Brighton a 2-1 win to the delight of the home fans and dismay of the traveling fans.
