CHAN Eagles: Eguavoen invites Rabiu Alli, Alimi 28 others ahead of clash against Ghana

Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen has handed invitation to veteran Nigeria Premier Football League midfielder, Rabiu Alli, Remo Stars striker Alimi Sikiru and 28 other players to the CHAN Eagles camp ahead of the final round of qualifiers against Ghana.

The Kano Pillars midfielder joins the team after his explosive start to the 2024/2025 football season with 8 goals already in 14 matches.

Remo Stars striker Alimi Sikiru returns to the team after taking part in the team’s initial phases of camping in Abuja.

In addition, Enugu Rangers’ versatile midfielder, Kazeem Ogunleye is also part of the invited players. The 18-year-old has been one of the most impressive players in the league so far.

Remo Stars’ Training complex will host the invited players from December 4th ahead of the first leg away at Accra, Ghana on 22 December.

Godswill Akpabio Stadium will host the second leg on 28 December, 2024.

Unfortunately, The Black Stars of Ghana stopped the CHAN Eagles from qualifying for the last edition in Algeria on penalties after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.

However, the CHAN Eagles will look to get one over their rivals as they look to qualify for the tournament which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda
