Chido Obi-Martin will not be available for selection for Manchester United’s Europa League fixture away at Real Sociedad.
The 17-year-old is not injured neither is he sick nor dealing with personal issues.
However, the young striker will be unavailable due to UEFA squad regulations.
The rule states that clubs are required to submit their A list of registered players before the knockout stage of the competition.
In addition, the B list also allow clubs to register homegrown players as long as they have been with the club for two years uninterrupted.
Chido Obi-Martin wasn’t registered in the A list and he didn’t meet with the second criteria as he only arrived the club last summer from Arsenal.
Manchester United however, confirmed that young defender Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu will be available for the clash.
The Red Devils will take on Real Sociedad away from home in the first leg of the Europa League second round on Thursday.
