Nigerian-born teenage football player from Denmark Chido Obi-Martin left Arsenal for Manchester United, moving across the Premier League to play for rival clubs.

The young striker left Arsenal as a free agent and signed a contract with United after months of arguing over salary talks.

Obi-Martin put pen to paper and signed a contract with United on Friday, October 4, 2024.

The teenager took to social media to post photos of his unveiling as a Manchester United player.

The career of Obi-Martin

The gifted young striker chose to leave the Gunners after his contract ended, turning into a transfer target for teams throughout Europe and England.

The 16-year-old, who made headlines with Arsenal last season for his incredible goal-scoring exploits at the youth level, is definitely one for the future.

In October 2023, Obi-Martin, then only fifteen years old, scored ten goals in one game for the Gunners’ Under-16 squad against Liverpool/

He scored seven goals in Arsenal’s U18s’ 9-0 demolition of Norwich in April.

Martin Obi, whose father is Nigerian and mother is Danish, has represented both Denmark and England at the international youth level but is still eligible to wear the Super Eagles’ Green and white.
