Chelsea playmaker Cole Palmer will wear a new jersey number ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup and the new football season.
Palmer has been wearing jersey number 20 since he joined Chelsea from Manchester City two seasons ago for over €47.0m.
The 23-year-old midfielder will take up the number 10 shirt, which was previously worn by French forward Christopher Nkunku.

Chelsea announced the development on their official website on Thursday morning via a statement.
Chelsea can confirm Cole Palmer will move to the No.10 shirt ahead of our 2025/26 campaign, starting from the FIFA Club World Cup.
Palmer, who has worn the No.20 shirt since signing from Manchester City in September 2023, will make the switch ahead of our participation in the US-based tournament and could wear 10 for the first time when the Blues face Los Angeles FC in Atlanta on June 16.
Nkunku’s future at Chelsea is undecided, but the 27-year-old midfielder will likely leave the club before the end of the transfer window.
The arrival of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town further suggests that the former RB Leipzig forward is on his way out of Enzo Maresca’s squad after struggling with injuries the previous season.
Consequently, Cole Palmer is set to don the number 10 jersey as Chelsea prepares to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, which starts on June 15 in the United States.
Cole Palmer scored 40 goals and provided 27 assists in 91 matches while he wore the number 20 jersey for Chelsea.
Chelsea are placed alongside Flamengo, Los Angeles FC, and Esperance Tunis in Group D
AFCON 2025
