President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has told Iran that the safety of its players and officials cannot be guaranteed ahead of the World Cup this summer.
Donald Trump shared the post on his Truth Social account as he cited that it’s not “appropriate” to have Iran participate at the World Cup for their “own life and safety.”
Donald Trump’s latest comments on the back of the ongoing war between Iran and the United States alongside Israel.
Also, it stems from the comments of Iranian sports minister who told the state television that under no circumstances can Iran participate at the World Cup after the “corrupt regime” – United States, killed its leader.

“Considering that this corrupt regime has assassinated our leader, under no circumstances can we participate in the World Cup,” Donyamali said, according to comments broadcast by state media. He added that conditions for participation “do not exist.”
The ongoing war has seen the United States and Israel drop missiles on Iran’s military and political infrastructures with the Gulf nation also attacking military bases of the United States in the Middle East.
Hostilities between the United States and Iran have also led to the death of Ayatollah Khamenei the former supreme leader of the country who was assassinated in a missile attack on February 28th.
