Nigeria’s women’s senior basketball team ended their participation in the FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament in France with a loss to Germany on Tuesday evening.
Although, the D’Tigress had already qualified for the World Cup but played in the tournament to prepare for the World Cup later in the year.
Nigeria entered the game following a narrow loss to France on Sunday and hopes to round off the tournament with a win.
It was a close tie on Tuesday evening between the two sides, but while the D’Tigress struggled to convert from the free throw line, the Germans made 17 out of 21 attempts, as Nigeria recorded 14 out of 21.

The game ended 73-81 as the D’Tigress ended the series with two wins and three defeats.
