Enyimba ended their five-game winless streak with a home victory over Plateau United at the Aba International Stadium.
The Aba Elephants came into the tie having not won in five games, losing three matches and drawing two.
Two second-half goals from Paul Oeeh and Ufere Chinedu secured the win and a clean sheet for Enyimba.
The win also takes Enyimba out of the drop zone as they move two places off the relegation but tied on points – 36 with Kano Pillars.

Shooting Stars secured a late winner over Wikki Tourist in Ibadan to keep to climb into the top four zone.
