Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle has explained the absence of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman ahead of the friendly matches against Portugal and Poland next week.

Osimhen and Lookman were not available as Eric Chelle led the Super Eagles to a successful defence of the Unity Cup on Saturday evening.

While speaking to the media in a post-match reaction, the Franco-Malian tactician revealed that Osimhen is likely to make a transfer to a Jew club. Hence, his absence from the squad.

Victor Osimhen led Galatasaray to the Turkish Super Lig title and could be on the move after two years at the Turkish club.

Chelle confirmed that Ademola Lookman will also not be available, as Atletico Madrid has requested the player be rested after a long season.

Ademola Lookman helped Atletico Madrid reach the semi-finals of the Champions League where they lost to Arsenal.
