Everton steamrolls Chelsea to keep European dream on, Fulham bury Burnley as Brighton sinks Liverpool

Everton’s dream of returning to European football might be a reality after the Toffees outclass Chelsea on Saturday evening.

David Moyes’ men inflicted more damage to the morale of Liam Rosenoir’s side after crashing out of the Champions League.

Everton repeated the scoreline between Chelsea and PSG to reduce the gap separating the two sides to just two points.

Guinea-Bissau forward, Beto bagged a brace while Senegalese forward, Iilman Ndiaye added the third in the second half to give the host a convincing win over the Blues.

The win takes Everton to the 7th spot on the log momentarily with two points behind Chelsea in 6th position.

Everton are dreaming of a return to European football for the first time since the 2017/2018 season, when they competed in the UEFA Europa League.

Fulham ended their three-game winless streak as they came from behind to seal a home win over relegation-bound Burnley.

Jonathan King restored parity for the hosts seven minutes after Zian Flemming put Burnley ahead in the second half.

Harry Wilson made it 2-1 for the Cottagers in the 73rd minute before Raul Jimenez made it 3-1 from the penalty spot in added time of the 90.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s chances of securing a place in the Champions League next season remain shaky.

The Reds, after a brilliant outing in the Champions League against Galatasaray at Anfield failed to build on the momentum at Brighton.

Danny Welbeck’s brace secured a 2-1 win over Arne Slot’s men at the American Express Stadium in the early kickoff on Saturday.
