Galatasaray President Dursun Ozbek has finally addressed the rumors surrounding Victor Osimhen’s future with the club.
The Nigerian striker has been on fire since arriving from Napoli, scoring 8 goals and providing four assists in just 9 games across all competitions.
This impressive performance has sparked talks of a permanent deal, but Ozbek’s initial response was cautious, simply stating that they’re enjoying Osimhen’s services.
However, in a recent press conference, Ozbek seemed more open to the idea of keeping Osimhen beyond this season.
“Osimhen is a Galatasaray player. He is a very successful player. We are proud to have Turkish football fans watch such a player.”
He also highlighted Galatasaray’s mission to bring world-class talent to Turkey, mentioning legends like Sneijder, Drogba, and Icardi.
“The Nigerian is our player this season… At the end of the season, during the transfer period, of course, all clubs, everyone wants to transfer Osimhen.”
Only time will tell if Galatasaray can make it happen.
