Chuka Iwobi, the father of Fulham FC and Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has dismissed reports of his son’s home being attacked by armed men.
Unverified sources online on Monday claimed that Alex Iwobi’s house in London was attacked, and the armed men made away with luxury watches and cash worth £200,000.

However, according to ESPN journalist Clin Udoh, who spoke with Chuka Iwobi, the news is fake, and the player didn’t experience such.
Alex Iwobi’s father, Chuka Iwobi – “Alex is fine, and there was absolutely no attempt to burgle his house. He left for Turkey this morning in preparation for the friendlies. It’s so annoying that a person can actually spread such falsehoods just for a few clicks. Calls and enquiries from well-wishers have inundated me, and I have spent unnecessary time explaining that this is a made-up story.”
Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi is currently in the camp of the Super Eagles in Turkey ahead of the international friendly matches against Iran and Jordan in the days ahead.
