Fans hail Flying Eagles after sealing World Cup qualification

The Flying Eagles have secured qualification for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup after qualifying for the semi-finals of the ongoing Under-20 AFCON.

Nigeria knocked out defending champions Senegal 4-3 on penalties after the regular time ended goalless.

Sporting Lagos goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt made two saves in the shootout to help the Flying Eagles.

Nigerian football fans shared their congratulatory messages on X after the feats – semi final and World Cup qualification which will take place in Chile later this year.
