Feyenoord send Chukwueze’s Milan out of Champions League

Samuel Chukwueze featured for less than fifteen minutes in Milan’s last game in the ongoing Champions League season.

The Super Eagles forward came on as a second half substitute to rescue the Rossoneri but couldn’t as the Dutch held on to their advantage.

AC Milan started on a bright note with Santiago Gimenez’s opener three minutes into kickoff.

The Mexican striker put the hime side ahead with a beautiful header from Malick Thiaw’s cross from the flank.

Portuguese forward Joao Felix almost doubled the leead for Milan 20 minutes later but Timon Wellenreuther stopped his shot with a time save.

AC Milan places the visitors under siege for most part of the first half but couldn’t double their lead as Wellenreuther denied Rafael Laeo just before halftime.

Theo Hernandez’s second booking of the night gave Feyenoord a lifeline as AC Milan played with a man less.

The Dutch took advantage of the advantage as Julian Carranza planted a sublime header over Mike Maignan in goal.

Timon Wellenreuther stood solid between the sticks as Feyenoord progressed to the second round with a 2-1 agreegate scoreline.
