Inter Milan secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Allianz Arena.
The match saw Lautaro Martínez open the scoring in the 38th minute, capitalizing on a precise backheel assist from Marcus Thuram.

Bayern had an opportunity to take the lead earlier when Harry Kane struck the post. The German side eventually found an equalizer in the 85th minute through veteran Thomas Müller, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season after not being offered a new contract.
However, Inter responded swiftly, with substitute Davide Frattesi netting the decisive goal in the 88th minute, finishing off a cross from Carlos Augusto.
This result puts Inter in a favorable position ahead of the return leg at San Siro on April 16. Bayern will need a strong performance in Milan to overturn the deficit and keep their Champions League aspirations alive.
