Nigeria international Semi Ajayi has expressed his excitement after helping Hull City secure promotion to the Premier League.
The experienced defender took to Instagram shortly after the Tigers confirmed their return to England’s top flight, posting an emotional message to celebrate the achievement.
“God is the greatest. We did it. Up the Tigers,” Ajayi wrote.
Hull City sealed promotion after defeating Middlesbrough by 1:0 in the Championship Playoff final, with Ajayi playing an important role in the squad during the season. The Super Eagles defender brought leadership and experience to the team as they battled their way back to the Premier League.
The promotion is another major milestone in Ajayi’s career, having previously featured in the English top flight during his time with West Bromwich Albion F.C..
