Heartbreak for Real Madrid as Dani Ceballos set to miss two months of action

Real Madrid will be without Dani Ceballos for at least two months.

The midfielder suffered an injury to the semimembranosus muscle to his left leg in Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in the Copa Del Rey first leg on Wednesday.

Dani Ceballos will miss both legs of Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League second round fixture against rivals Atletico Madrid.

Ceballos took to his official X page to express his disappointment.

Dani Ceballos

Very sad for not being able to help my team in this very important part of the season. And very sad for having to stop at what I felt was my best moment…

But football is like that, it is not always easy, and much less fair. So I have to face it with strength, with the desire to fight and with the certainty that I will come back even stronger.
This isn’t over. I’ve come through worse. Thank you for all the love… See you soon, sooner than you think.

HALA MADRID!

Dani Ceballos has been a regular for Real Madrid this season with 25 appearances.
