He also talked on the team’s performance at this year’s AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire and how they are working to build on what they achieved.

“That was a big turning point in my career. Ever since I put on the Super Eagles jersey, it’s been fruitful. We’re still growing together as a team. The togetherness of the squad is special; we showed that at the last AFCON.”

“We got to the final, and unfortunately, we came up a bit short, but the foundations are there. It’s just a fantastic feeling to be a part of, to be able to hold that with pride, to be able to say I represented my country.”

Ademola Lookman has scored 11 goals, 5 assists in 17 matches for Atalanta this season.

The winger scored 2 goals in 4 matches as the Super Eagles qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
