Real Madrid’s midfielders Frederico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouaméni are set to face severe disciplinary action after both players got involved in a fight following an argument 24 hours earlier.

Federico Valverde landed at the hospital unconscious with his head split after he fell to the ground while the other players tried to separate them according to reports.

Below is the account of what actually happened prior, during and after the fight between Valverde and Tchouaméni:

  1. Yesterday during training, Tchouaméni delivered a hard tackle on Fede Valverde. Fede did not like it at all.
  2. Tchouaméni insisted he did not do it on purpose, but Fede refused to accept his apology. Instead, Fede repeatedly targeted Tchouaméni with aggressive retaliatory tackles.
  3. After training, the two players had a heated verbal argument (it remained non-physical at that point).
  4. Today, at the start of training, Fede refused to shake Tchouaméni’s hand. As soon as the session began, Fede launched a very hard tackle on Tchouaméni, lifting him off the ground.
  5. Coach Álvaro Arbeloa tried to calm the situation by placing them on the same team.
  6. This approach failed, and the pair continued fighting throughout training.
  7. After training in the dressing room, they started physically fighting. Other players rushed in to separate them.
  8. During the scuffle, Fede Valverde fell to the floor, suffering a split head wound and losing consciousness.
  9. Medical staff immediately took him to the hospital, with Arbeloa by his side.
  10. Real Madrid have decided to punish both players.
