Jose Mourinho has dismissed speculation about a potential reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo at Fenerbahce in 2025.
Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr expires in June, fueling rumors about his next destination.
Mourinho and Ronaldo previously worked together at Real Madrid, where they achieved significant success, including a Spanish title and Copa del Rey. However, Mourinho has ruled out the possibility of Ronaldo joining Fenerbahce.
“Cristiano Ronaldo will not come,” Mourinho said during a press conference.
“The first reason is that I have three good forwards and I don’t want another one. Cristiano will always be Cristiano, but I don’t want him because I’m happy with my forwards.”
Mourinho also questioned what could motivate Ronaldo to join Fenerbahce, given his lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia and his goal of scoring 1,000 goals.
“He has the money he earns in Saudi Arabia and a goal of 1,000 goals. What could motivate him to come to Turkey, other than the beauty of Istanbul?”
Mourinho emphasized that he is content with his current strikers, Edin Dzeko, Cenk Tosun, and Youssef En-Nesyri, who have combined for 15 goals this season.
