Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has taken responsibility for his team’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Haaland admitted that he hasn’t done enough for Manchester City, who suffered their second defeat in a week and their 9th loss in the last 11 games.

Speaking to TNT Sports, the Norwegian striker expressed his disappointment and frustration with his performance.

“It’s not good enough from me,” he said.

Haaland acknowledged that he needs to improve his goal-scoring and take his chances.

“First I’m looking at myself, I haven’t been doing things good enough, I haven’t been scoring my chances. I have to do better, I haven’t been good enough.”

Despite the setback, Haaland emphasized the importance of staying positive and confident.

“We know how important confidence is and you can see that it affects every human being.

‘That is how it is, we have to continue and stay positive even though it is difficult.”

City will hope to return to winning ways when they host Everton on Boxing Day.
