Nigerian footballer, Odion Jude Ighalo has revealed his unwavering commitment to tithing, a practice he began in 2005 and has maintained without interruption.
In a recent interview with Rasheedat Ajibade on Rash4Christ podcast, Ighalo shared insights into his dedication to this religious obligation.
Ighalo recounted that his journey with tithing commenced with his first salary as a professional footballer in 2005, amounting to ₦15,000.
Guided by his pastor’s teachings on the importance of tithing, he made a commitment to allocate a portion of his earnings to his faith.
Despite initial doubts and internal conflicts about parting with a segment of his modest income, Ighalo remained steadfast in his decision.
Reflecting on his experience, Ighalo emphasized the significance of faithfulness in financial matters, stating, “If you can be faithful with little, you will be faithful with any amount that comes your way.”
This principle has guided him throughout his career, underscoring his belief in the virtues of consistency and discipline.
