Following his transfer from Manchester United, Alejandro Garnacho was in attendance at Stamford Bridge to watch his new Chelsea teammates defeat Fulham 2-0.

The Argentine winger, who signed a contract with the Blues until 2032, spoke about his move in his first interview with the club.

Garnacho shared his excitement and explained his motivation for the transfer.

“It is an incredible feeling to join this amazing club, and I can’t wait to start playing,” he said.

When asked about his long-standing connection to Chelsea, which has been highlighted by childhood photos of him wearing the team’s training kit, Garnacho revealed his admiration for a club legend.

“I used to watch Chelsea a lot growing up, obviously because I loved Eden Hazard,” he said.

Garnacho also disclosed that he spoke with his Argentine national team colleague Enzo Fernández before making the move, and both players are excited about their future together at the club.

The 21-year-old is expected to make his debut after the international break when Chelsea travels to the Gtech Community Stadium to face Brentford.
