Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised Kevin De Bruyne’s performance after the Belgian midfielder scored the winning goal against Wolves.

De Bruyne has previously announced his decision to leave the club at the end of the season after Manchester City refused to offer him a new contract.
When asked about De Bruyne’s contribution to the team’s recent success, Guardiola expressed his gratitude, saying,
“Just thank you. His contribution in the game against Crystal Palace when we were 2-0 down and he delivered, and today the goal again.

“I’m happy that it is finishing that way, and we have one more game in the Etihad.”
Regarding the possibility of De Bruyne extending his contract, Guardiola hinted that the situation is unlikely to change, stating, “I want the best for Kevin, so it cannot be possible to have done these many years without him.
“He has been an incredible player, but the situation is what it is.”
