Former UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman was in attendance as the city of Miami played host to one of the most glamorous events of the year as Afrobeats superstar, Davido tied the knot with his longtime partner, Chioma Rowland, in a lavish white wedding.
The extravagant ceremony, reportedly costing about $3.7 million, was a fusion of luxury and culture. Davido made a grand entrance in a custom white Lamborghini Revuelto, while Chioma arrived in a pristine Rolls-Royce, radiating elegance in a classic white gown.
The couple exchanged heartfelt vows before a room adorned with flawless décor, flowing champagne, and a “black tie and evening gown” dress code that set the tone for the evening.
The guest list was a who’s who of global influence: business magnate, Aliko Dangote, Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Hollywood star, Djimon Hounsou, gospel icon, Kirk Franklin, and a long list of African music royalty including D’banj, Adekunle Gold, Teni, and Stonebwoy.
The presence of Usman, fondly known as “The Nigerian Nightmare”, added a sporting edge to a celebration already brimming with music, business, and political heavyweights.
