Victor Osimhen was the talking point of matchday four of the UEFA Champions League as the Super Eagles striker showed he’s currently arguably the best in the world at the moment.

Osimhen unleashed mayhem on Ajax in A as he scored a second-half hat trick to power Galatasaray to victory.

After a goalless affair in the first half, the Nigerian striker put the Turkish champions ahead in the 59th minute with a header from a sublime cross by Leroy Sane.

A few minutes later, Osimhen doubled the lead from the penalty spot as he fired a low drive into the bottom left corner of goal.

The Super Eagles striker was not done with the former Dutch champions as he sealed his hat trick with another penalty before leaving the pitch in the 79th minute for Mauro Icardi.

Victor Osimhen equalled the record of former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni as the second Nigerian player to score a hat trick in the UEFA Champions League.

Meanwhile, Club Brugge and FC Barcelona treated fans and neutrals to a festival of goals.

Barcelona left caution to the wind in defense and almost lost in added time of the 90 as Wojciech Szczesny attempted to get past a Club Brugge player.

Portuguese striker Carlos Forbs didn’t write in his name in the popular magazine but on the scoresheet twice, while Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal found the back of the net as the enthralling tie ended 3-3.

Manchester City were ruthless against visiting Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad.

Phil Foden’s brace, Erling Haaland’s fifth goal of the campaign, and Ryan Cherki’s late goal secured a 4-1 win for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta got the only away wins of the night over Benfica and Marseille, respectively.

Newcastle United continued their impressive run in the competition as they comfortably beat Athletic Bilbao at St. James’ Park on Wednesday night.
